A bit mystifying why there is not more immediate outrage that Mueller thinks Flynn should get no jail time--when it is clear he not only lied to the FBI but he entered high office breaking laws and serving foreign powers. Mueller deserves much respect, of course.
But, are we all so eager for anything that leads to Trump's downfall that we are willing to give his collaborators and co-wrong-doers a pass on anything if it gets us there? Is that fair? What message does that send?
I'm all for seeing Trump brought down. He is a terrible president, a terrible man and a likely criminal. I want Mueller to succeed. I believe what we have seen suggests he is doing many things well. But nonetheless, I find instant acceptance of Flynn leniency weird.
