Backstory to how I ended up doing this:

Studied Law. Decided I could help more people if I changed the law rather than worked within it. And given that I speak French. EU/International affairs seemed the obvious next step.
Found my way to an internship at @ECDHRbxl, an NGO that focused on Human Rights abuses in the Gulf States (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain). So I was in Brussels learning about how the UK was training soldiers and supplying weapons in facilitation of truly horrific human right abuses.
I watched the EU pass resolutions condemning the arms sales. (I also noticed Corbyn was the loudest voice back home saying stop. Hence my residual Corbynism). National governments are elected on economic bases. Without written constitution, our moral integrity is vulnerable.
We were supplying weapons that were being used to bomb hospitals and school children. We had contributed to the deaths of 5,000 innocent civilian people. And what was our Prime Minister saying about it? theguardian.com/world/2016/feb…
As someone whose primary goal was the protection of human rights, to see my own country's politicians showing a complete disregard for the concept was terrifying to me. The EU Treaties and the European Human Rights Convention (Human Rights act) are the only constitutions we have.
So to then see that we were about to get rid of those safeguards, for reasons which, in the historical context of the EU explained below, blow the mind... I felt I had to do something.
My first ever Brexit video was shot in Brussels in March 2016 (while I still had my Parliament pass) and it wasn't about economics, it was a 15 second (instagram video limit at the time) explanation of all the above.
And then I realised that Cameron wasn't explaining the economics. He was simply using big scary figures instead of explaining step-by-step why being an EU member helps reduced prices for ordinary people.
