Being a member of @People4Dharma and an active volunteer on ground for Pandalam nama japam procession which was organized on Oct 2, I can say that the role of BJP in supporting the devotees on the event conducted immediately aft the verdict was a big fat zero.
Only certain local congress leaders showed their solidarity with the devotees during that event while there were rumors throughout the day of the event that BJP and RSS had ordered their cadre to stay away from the procession as they were favor of the verdict
Only after witnessing the huge success of the Pandalam nama japam procession which gave rise to many similar peaceful processions across the state, BJP entered the fray to cash in on the political mileage of the issue.
The most funniest part to note in this timeline of events is that IUML declared their solidarity with the devotees who were carrying out peaceful demonstrations against the verdict a week before Oct 8th (the date on which BJP spoke out in favor of traditions)
While every other party declared their support for devotees and pledged to take up the issue in state assembly and parliament, BJP for some reason declared that it will join the devotees on ground to protest the verdict dressed as devotees
Till this very act of BJP the protests were going on without any violence and police action. The CPM also started lathi charge on devotees only after photos of RSS and BJP members dressed as devotees in the protests were circulated in SM
Even if we consider that the intentions of RSS and BJP were pure by giving them the benefit of doubt, the fact that they decided to merge with the devotees in the protest making normal devotees victims of lathi charge instead of protesting separately as a party cant be ignored

And also the absence of BJP MLA in the protests staged regarding the issue at the floor of assembly by congress and IUML MLAs and the fact that the party is yet to take even the word #Sabarimala in parliament has destroyed its credibility among the devotees
So instead of trolling and abusing people who raise genuine issues and demotivating its core voter base it will be better if BJP well wishers start looking into the follies of the party which is the root cause for the damage of its credibility in the issue
Eradication of core vote base because of follies led to BJPs defeat in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. We cannot afford the same in 2019 and hence its high time that we consider the merit of the issue raised and find viable solutions for it instead of abusing others
