Speaking of ridiculously small percentages of the federal budget, why were Republicans so hysterically opposed to spending $800 million over ten years to provide health insurance to 9 million low income kids?

You know what would cost even less? Clean water in Flint. Raises for public school teachers. Re-instating water safety standards. Thank you, @AnnCoulter for providing context for how little, relative to the federal budget, things can cost.

Human rights shouldn’t be a partisan issue, but under our current administration, tragically, it is. So I’m hoping @SenateDems and @HouseDemocrats like @KamalaHarris @SenFeinstein @tedlieu and @MikeLevinCA can join @RepAdamSchiff in this:
I know, I know. We have enough problems here in the US – like the manufactured crisis of the #TrumpShutdown. But our country is big enough to walk and chew gum. We can put our house in order while asking the neighbor why we hear screaming from theirs.

A couple years ago, when I was writing for American Dad!, I needed an Arabic speaker for a small part. Our casting director recommended a Saudi comedian, who happened to be in LA for a couple months shooting a tv show. His name is Fahad Albutairi.
I looked him up. He was the first Saudi stand-up comedian to appear on stage professionally in the Kingdom, the “Jerry Seinfeld of Saudi Arabia.” He had a couple million Twitter followers. (He has none now; I’ll get to that.) He was, frankly, more interesting than the part.
The day of the recording, I walked to the booth to meet Fahad and direct his session – it was just a couple lines; I’d say hi, run it a few times, and we’d both be on our way.

Fahad was standing with a woman, who he introduced as his wife, @LoujainHathloul.

This morning, the President said it is up to Dr. Blasey Ford to convince him she is telling the truth. That is preposterous. Her story is credible: it is rich in remembered detail, corresponds to facts that are known, and was told to others years before.

To be a Navy pilot, you have to be between 19 and 26 at the time you enter flight training
Depending on individual, it takes 1-2 years to become pilot
Shorter if you have BA degree
So we're looking at Daddy Hogg being AT LEAST 22-25+ when he left Navy
Then Daddy Hogg leaves the Navy AS A PILOT in the early to mid 1990s and becomes an elementary school teacher?
There's a demand for pilots both in the military and in air industry.
So WHY does he then become an elementary school teacher?
