I mean, it’s their money. So if that’s how they want to spend it...at least it’s not on war machines, I guess?
Maybe they’re counting on amortization over time. If immigration falls to zero, assuming they lose no further GDP, they’ll only have paid 120,000 pounds (about $150,000 right now) for EACH person they kept out.
