Dear non-famous entrepreneur, be-careful when you work with celebrities, &/or people with powerful social standing etc. They’re very aware of their influence & if they want to,they will use it to steal your work, waste your time, or make you work for free without acknowledgment.

This is something that’s not spoken about but happens often. I haven’t met one successful entrepreneur that hasn’t experienced this, at least once in their entrepreneurial journey.
The truth is that people with power will almost always try to abuse their power when they can.

The most realistic way to manage this is to:
1. Research prospective clients, find out what other people’s experiences have been working for them.
2. Don’t send usable work before a contract has been signed.
3. Keep calm. Don’t get excited by their “celebrity”. Focus on the work

4. Remember your value. Don’t feel intimidated by that persons “celebrity” They are just people at the end of the day.
5. Make a list of good & bad scenarios of what it means to work with this person. Can your business & reputation possibly survive the possible betrayal?

7. Keep in mind that some powerful people are really bad people & once you associate with them, they will try to exploit you forever, so Choose 👏🏾 Clients👏🏾 Wisely👏🏾
8. Make sure all your decisions align with your long term goals

9. Remember, you often don’t have recourse against influential people. They have connections everywhere. So work with them at your own risk & understand that more often than not, your best option when/if they do mislead you is to walk away quietly & keep it moving.
