"The conservative movement," such as it exists today in "dark web" social media spaces like Reddit, 4chan, & YouTube, thinks ideas like Steve King's are the future of the GOP. That is why most educated people who aren't either grifters or dogmatic anti-taxers have left the party.
The sobering reality that many NeverTrump conservatives are starting to realize, is that Steve King and Donald Trump were always, kinda the telos to which the conservative movement has been headed since the 1950s.
Jordan P*terson, Jonah Goldberg, and Ben Shapiro can dress up their "western civilization is best" schtick in "color blind" rhetoric and I think they might even mean it, but they've got to know that the audience for this "decline of western civ" BS is >75% Steve King types.

And right on cue, Ben Shapiro shows up to express his shock and outrage that Steve King would say such a thing. Not mentioning, of course, that 10 months ago he was happily hanging out with his great admirer, Steve King. h/t @_Almaqah
