I see virtue signalling going on with this election.

A certain class within a particular zone is the loudest champion of an atiku presidency.

Not because it is the best for Nigeria. And certainly not because it will deliver development.

But just so that it will return things
to how they used to be.

I met a former customer to who my wife and I used to sell food some years back.

He is a prospective tenant.

While discussing rent, he kept on talking about his desire for atiku to win

He runs a bureau de change

Business has not thrived since mid 2015
He wants things to return to the heydey of 2011-2014

He knows both candidates and their values. He also knows which is better for the country.

Unfortunately he is more concerned with his business and personal "success"

I think this is a problem

When a certain group believes
personal wellbeing is more important than the general wellbeing of almost 200 million people, then there's a fundamental mismatch of values.

You cannot root for anarchy and claim to love Nigeria.

Even if you create your own country with such a mindset, it would still fail.
This should be food for thought for us as Nigerians

We need to discuss this with each other as stakeholders

What type of Nigeria do we want? Do we love this country?

Those who can't commit to patriotic values of equality and egalitarianism should be permitted to exit the union
