Today someone asked me how to measure the strength of a trend. There are 2 ways to measure in my opinion -
1) When Price is above EMA10, EMA21 & MA50
2) Momentum (Length of candles) & closing of candles

Strong Trend - If price is rising & doesn't touch or close below EMA10
Healthy Trend - If price is rising but taking support at EMA21 & bouncing back up
Moderate trend - If price is rising & often penetrating EMA10 & 21 & taking support at MA50

Length of candles also defines the strength of trend. Longer the candle, higher the momentum thus strong trend. Shorter the candle, lesser the momentum thus trend not so powerful & may fade soon. Its like after consuming Creatine, you can have more reps in Gym.
Often before the stock/index peaks out, you will see smaller up candles & bigger down candles which shows strength of Uptrend is weakening & strength of downtrend is picking up pace. Time to stay cautious in longs (wait for price confirmation before entering shorts).

1st signs of reversals at seen on lower TF in BNF. Let's wait to see if the retest happens at lower volumes. Post that if #PriceAction confirmation happens, one can go long. Till then wait patiently & enjoy your popcorn :)!
#BNF behaved 100% inline with #priceaction attributes. Did a couple of low volume tests and moved up smartly trapping bears who are selling on rise. Don't think like everyone, Think outside the box ;)
Here is the full analysis of this early reversal pick trade. Its important to know the context & background to understand what happened today in BNF. With RBI governor resignation & exit poll results (mostly not in favor of BJP) there was enough bad news in the market.

Someone recently told me that the pressure cookers from the 1980s were more reliable than the ones we get today & 3 whistles meant perfectly cooked rice every single time whereas the modern ones were temperamental. I think there's an interesting reason here
I think this perception comes from what is a rather widespread misunderstanding of how pressure cookers work. A significant percentage of the Indian population measures pressure cooking time in "whistles" and not actual elapsed time at maximum pressure
So, a quick recap of how pressure cookers work. If you boil water in an air-tight vessel, pressure will build up, and that in turn increases the boiling point of water, which then continues to stay liquid at well above 100 Celsius & thus cooks food faster

Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation

Today someone wiped away tears as they told me how strong & courageous I was, how my disability made them realise they took things for granted & shouldn’t complain abt their life. I tried to stop them but they didn’t get it. I gave up.

Mind if I get it off my chest here instead?
They were trying to say I was inspiring because I was commuting & working while disabled & in pain. It implies that the more I DO while disabled, the more inspiring I become. The less I do, the less inspiring I become. It implies that my worth depends on how much I do.
In that sense it’s asking too much of me: to MAKE myself worthy by living up to the ideal of the crip who pushes through, overcomes, stays positive.

In another sense it’s patronising, because it congratulates me for living my life. I get a gold star for working! A+ for effort!
