There really is a rational explanation for Graham's irrational behavior. He's a political animal who's willing to shed all pretense of principled conservatism is that means serving the party's interests. I think he believes saving Trump means saving the GOP.
Then again, maybe Graham is a turncoat. We'll find out soon enough, I think.

1. The big news this morning comes from Nancy Pelosi. The House Speaker sent a letter to the White House explaining why the government’s shutdown is undermining efforts to provide necessary security during the Jan. 29 State of the Union address.
2. If the shutdown continues, she said, Donald Trump should submit his address in writing, as was common practice for most of US history, or work with her to determine an appropriate time after the standoff is settled and the government reopened.
3. The headlines around this news items aren’t necessarily wrong. The speaker is indeed “asking” the president to submit a written address or postpone delivering it to a joint session of the US Congress. But look closely. You’ll see she’s not just asking.

1. The federal government has been closed for longer than any period in US history. According to nearly every poll, most blame the president and the Republican Party.

2. We thought the GOP would crack up in 2016. Our timing was off by about four years.
3. At the White House this morning, Donald Trump denied that he ever worked for the Russians. This came after an explosive article in the Times Friday reporting that the FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation on the president soon after he fired James Comey.

I'm a few pages into the IG report and I just can't get over the thought that there's no reason there ever should've been an investigation into Hillary's e-mails in the first place. The FBI was just trying to satisfy the Republicans.
"....we did not have confidence that Strzok’s decision to prioritize the Russia investigation over following up on the Midyear-related investigative lead... was free from bias." One was a thing, the other was not a thing. He picked the thing over the not thing. That's not bias.

So, every quarter a public business must release an earnings report. Earnings reports are filed in EDGAR in XBRL XML.
When there appears to be a significant amount of volatility in the share price between those quarterly reports, what do we attribute that to?
Information.
Do journalists have more information than is found in XBRL Earnings Reports?
If they do, they have either:
- Estimates of demand
- Insider information which is not yet public
- Intent to sell news articles and move the price up or down
The CEO and CMO must play this game daily.

2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
