I disagree, people endorsing Gabbard are doing so almost exclusively for her pro-Putin, Pro-Assad position on Syria. They keep framing it as "anti-interventionist" and deliberately ignoring the fact that Gabbard openly endorsed Russia's bombing campaign
They are all willing to throw the LGBT community, Syrians, Iraqi and Syrian refugees, Egyptians, Indian Muslims and Palestinians under a bus to endorse Gabbard, just to defend her 'Hands Off Assad' foreign policy position. People need to recognise it for what it is.
"Yeah she's bad on X, Y & Z but at least she opposes intervention" is the rally cry. But it's a lie based on the fact that she supports any & all bombing in Syria, as long as its only opponents of the Assad regime being targeted, even when those targets are children's hospitals.
And every high-profile defender of Gabbard's run that I have seen so far has personally endorsed war crimes denial narratives surrounding Assad's chemical weapons massacres. In fact, I'd say chemical weapons denial is the primary aspect in their support for her.
If anyone is asking people to "provide quotes" of Gabbard's Assad support, while rejecting chemical weapons denial and explicit and vocal support for Russia's military intervention in Syria on behalf of Assad as being evidence of that, they are acting in bad faith to gaslight you

Glenn Greenwald has never met a Western Leftist Assad supporter he didn't deny was an Assad supporter. In fact, he doesn't particularly care if they are on the left, he's more than comfortable praising the far-right, as long as they share his "Hands Off Assad" foreign policy.
PSA: Greenwald also endorsed fabricated reports by Seymour Hersh that Assad was innocent of chemical weapons attacks the United Nations found him guilty of. Seeing a pattern yet?
