1. Max Boot: Unhinged Vitriol Is Me!

Here's Max's article on illegal immigration which only has two specious sentences of information on the topic (and even that info is fake) while the rest is his signature regurgitation of vitriol toward GOP which has become his mainstay now.
2. Let us look at those two tangential assertions which Max somehow finds very compelling to justify his jeremiad.

First, "The number of apprehensions at the southern border declined 75 percent in the past two decades — from 1.6 million in 2000 to 397,000 last year."
3. According to Max, 1.6 million apprehensions should be considered the norm because that's what happened at some point in time in the past. According to this genius, 397,000 apprehensions is no big deal, because less than 1.6 million.
4. Dear Max, it is not just the numbers, the nature of apprehensions matters too. Caravans from countries farther off than Mexico, with lots of minors forced to make perilous life-threatening treks with rising levels of human trafficking is a different and new emergency.
5. It is the kind of emergency and human tragedy that only a partisan zealot, which you have decided to become to court liberal love, would trivialize. A one sentence dismissal of such a tragedy demonstrates how low you have fallen.
6. Now let us turn to the second nugget: "Immigrants, both legal and illegal, commit fewer crimes than the native-born."
Really?!!! That's your genius observation to excuse or trivialize illegal immigration?
7. As if we should be comparing illegal immigrant crimes (many of which go unreported due to sanctuary city laws and other easily discernible reasons) with crimes committed by native born Americans as a criterion to dismiss the problem at the border as not a serious one.
8. Illegal immigrants commit three times as many crimes as legal immigrants and six times as many homicides. Our policy choice is between legal and illegal immigrants, not between immigrants and native citizens. Is that really hard to understand?
9. Here's the criminal conviction data for 2015 provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Notice the huge disparity between the number of crimes committed by the legal and illegal immigrants, which is the only relevant factor here as mentioned in the above tweet.
10. That is the sum total of Max Boot's argument for haranguing GOP and calling it unreasonable and a whole lot worse. Max prefers the Pelosi and Schumer's stance of "move along, there's nothing to see here." And for that, he thinks of himself as a 'serious person.'

The End
Furthermore, I didn't even pick the chart. Believe it or not, this is the chart Washington Post and Max Boot use to make the claim that immigrants commit less crime than native citizens. I am saying even their own fricking chart tells a different story than they are pushing.
