The campaign in Kaduna today is a homecoming of sorts for PMB. Kaduna is where he retired to after his release from a 40-month detention by IBB (following the August 1985 coup) in 1988. #PMB4Plus4
It was during his time as Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister in the late 1970s that the construction contract for the Kaduna Refinery, the 3rd Refinery in Nigeria, was signed.

Benin, where he campaigned yesterday, is where he spent most of the 40-month detention (1985–88)
PMB campaigning in Plateau State today. Also a homecoming of sorts for him. His last military posting before becoming Head of State was in Plateau State. He served as General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3rd Armored Division, Jos, from November 1981 — December 31, 1983.
As of the time PMB served in the Nigerian Army, there were only 4 Divisions. He served in all 4 Divisions - as General Officer Commanding (GOC) in three of them (2nd, 3rd and 4th Divisions), and Assistant Adjutant General in the fourth, the 1st Infantry Division.
