On January 16, President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani stated: "I never said there was no collusion between the [Trump] campaign or between people in the campaign." He continued: "The president did not collude with the Russians."
The question is no longer whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia but how far it went. This leads to 10 questions that Special Counsel Robert Mueller should be able to answer:
1. Has Trump been a Russian asset from his first visit to Moscow in 1987?
2. Has Trump received Russian financing in return for his services? How much and through which channels?
3. How deep was Trump's involvement in Russian organized crime in New York?
4. We know that Manafort's righthand man Konstantin Kilimnik has worked for the Russian military intelligence GRU. Has Manafort also worked for the GRU since 2005 when he started working with Kilimnik and for Viktor Yanukovych?
5. Two of Oleg Deripaska's top executives have been revealed as GRU officers. has Deripaska operated as a liaison between Manafort and the GRU? Did he pay Manafort for his services to the GRU?
6. Did Manafort and Kilimnik collude with Putin's aide for Ukraine Vladislav Surkov in the Kremlin-sponsored "peace plan" for Ukraine sent to Washington through four parallel Ukrainian channels in January 2017?
7. Manafort sent polling data through Kilimnik to the GRU in the summer of 2016. Presumably the same data were also sent to the Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg. Through what channels?
8. Did the Kremlin tell Trump to appoint Manafort his campaign manager?
9. Did the Kremlin warn Trump to abruptly dismiss Manafort as campaign manager because it knew his was compromised with the FBI.
10. What roles did Roger Stone, Wikileaks, Donald Jr., Jared Kushner, and Ivanka play in the Russia Trump collusion? Who else was culpably involved?
