OK, it’s official: I’m rooting for her now.
Her story was vague and took two minutes — my read: she’s already checked out — and now we’re back to his work and travels and ideas. And yet, she’s an incredible reflective listener!

JUST IN: DOJ asks the judge in the Maryland transgender military ban case, Stone v. Trump, to stay the injunction so "the Department of Defense may begin implementing" the Mattis ban policy. documentcloud.org/documents/5694…
This follows Tuesday's #SCOTUS orders staying injunctions in two other challenges to the Trump administration's policy: buzzfeednews.com/article/chrisg… / The Maryland case injunction, which is as to Trump's initial ban, is the last remaining injunction before DOD can implement the ban.
As @dominicholden noted yesterday, even the lawyers for the challengers to the ban have acknowledged that the trial court in Maryland should at least stay the nationwide injunction in the Maryland case i the wake of the #SCOTUS orders.

JUST IN: DOJ will ask #SCOTUS to directly review court ruling that bars the Trump admin from asking a citizenship questionnaire on the Census, passing over the 2nd Circuit. documentcloud.org/documents/5691…
Unlike past instances where DOJ asked SCOTUS to act before appeals court rulings, DOJ is able to make a pretty strong argument for why they're going to be asking the justices to do so here:

Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely.
He won acclaims and appreciations from many.

After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him & said "You're Captain Vishal! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!"

“How in the world did you know that?” asked Vishal
“I packed your parachute," the man smiled and replied.

Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn't worked, I wouldn’t be here today. Vishal couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man.

Lets clear up some misconceptions from yesterday (Thread coming up) #BritishGP
Firstly, the race was cancelled because of the track resurfacing and nothing else. Mike Webb straight up told me that, and referenced similar conditions in 2011 and 2015 when they still raced.
Blaming riders for not wanting to ride is insane given conditions and what happened to Tito. Ask any ex-racer and they’ll describe aquaplaning as the most terrifying thing that can happen to you on a bike.

#Today's story to #EndFamilySeparation Four months ago, Dad and 4-month-old entered at the Texas/Mexico border and requested #asylum. Dad and child were immediately separated and the baby put in ORR custody. #FamiliesBelongTogether
Dad was detained in a #Texas detention center where @RAICESTEXAS consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months. #EndFamilySeparation
The Mom and Dad now have once weekly Skype calls with their 8-month-old baby. That's right, folks. They Skype with an infant. #EndFamilySeparation #FamiliesBelongTogether
