#SCOTUS keeps veil over much of mystery company's grand jury fight believed linked to Mueller, but there are some new nuggets.... politico.com/story/2019/01/…
One is that prosecutors (apparently Mueller ones) asked Chief Judge Howell to fine the company $10,000 a day for defying the subpoena. She decided $50,000 was more appropriate.
Another is that reporters weren't the only ones shooed away from the closed-door oral arguments at the D.C. Circuit on this last month. The firm's own lawyers were excluded while prosecutors made their case to the judges. Very unusual.
Also the company isn't just controlled by a foreign government, but is wholly-owned by them. And the lawyers foresee a parade of horribles if the firm is forced to comply with the demand for info.
