Free market liberals who backed Brexit have three choices:

1. Call for Art50 to be revoked
2. Reluctantly back May's Deal just to see Leave through.
3. Start professing ANTI-free-market-liberal views in support of No Deal.....

I think Remainers have been so focused on the Brexit process that they're missing what's really going on out there. And they're still making mistakes. /1
I speak of the digital transformation that's breaking open traditional centres of power across the world.

People are empowered and able to project that power like never before - whether they are right or wrong.... /2

I can now foresee May's Deal going through (or a slightly tweaked variant of it).

It'll be done and dusted by summer.

What will we all think then? /1
Well, everyone but May will be cheesed off; some very.

The only positives will be avoidance of No Deal and moving to transition.

Leavers will be pissed off with a half-arsed deal (recall "it's worse than Remain").

'Remain' will have gone, so Remainers all pissed off too. /2
But with Leavers feeling the will of the people hasn't been delivered, why did parliament pass the Deal on the basis that it does so deliver (and indeed feeling compelled to pass the Deal "in order to deliver the will of the people")? /3

A few are asking what's Remain's dirty secret?
Precis: Like Leave, Remain is full of British exceptionalists who reject the EU's ultimate goals.
Their vision is not positive but a kind of modern damage avoidance/limitation exercise in the face of loss. /1
The 1950s view still prevails that Europeans won't get anywhere with their state-building adventures; don't mean it anyway; that we can lead/reform them in our direction; and leaving is bad.

StrongerIn neatly reflected this view: could never say they favoured political union. /2
Blair, Clegg, Cable and others persist with it today, even to the point of suggesting that the EU will reform Free Movement in Britain's favour. In the final analysis they are as 'British' as any Leaver. /3

We can rail about respecting the vote, the EU being stubborn,May being incompetent etc all day long. The fact is it cannot be negotiated successfully, and anyone who believes otherwise is mistaken

2) reasons are very simple, and always have been. The deal that was promised & any feasible deal are so far apart as to be unrecognisable

Either Brexit will be so painful that it will destroy the party who implements or so meaningless that it would be embarrassing to implement
3) half the country do not want Brexit, the other half (apart from the hardcore) voted for the pain free, cake & eat it easy brexit that was promised.

There is *no* feasible Brexit that would gain a majority in the UK & non possible within the EU & UKs red lines

As the #USS dispute goes on, it's clearer than ever that the institutions that govern our pensions have been failing us in multiple ways. They are secretive, non-transparent, marked by conflicts of interest and revolving doors. We need to open up and #DemocratizeUSS.
Of the 5 “independent” Trustees of #USS, 4 have a background working for investment and financial services companies, the 5th used to work for Rio Tinto, the mining company, running their gold mines in Papua New Guinea.

2) Since Brexit real weekly earnings have fallen by 0.5% ons.gov.uk/generator?uri=… mostly due to inflation. That’s £25 so far.
