@realDonaldTrump is awfully quiet on Russia’s Wagner group in Venezuela protecting Maduro and for that matter all the other threats they are presenting. Apparently lifting sanctions on Deripaska’s companies is the punishment
The Russians are furious w Trumps position on Venezuela and the Russian PM even made a subtle threat asking Trump to image Pres Pelosi (how we wish). Russia has been increasing their military activity on several fronts and most likely was sending a message re Venezuela.

Prior to the G20 meet (the one Trump secretly snuck in some time w Putin) Russian media reported that both the INF and New Start Treaty were going to be discussed. Then the official meet got canceled after Russia attacked a Ukrainian boat
