Many are saying - me included - it now looks like May's Deal or No Deal.

That relies on MPs staring into the abyss (29 March) and pulling back (to May's Deal).

BUT there will now have to be an Art50 extension anyway, to pass the necessary legislation. /1
If May doesn't admit this by mid-Feb - and maybe she *can't* admit it, to demand her deal at the edge of the cliff - then Cooper returns, an Art50 extension is forced, the can is kicked, and MPs buy more time to pull themselves together. /2
Is this likely?
Theoretically, but "theoretically" doesn't really work with this 'parliament of fools' so I won't rush out and put money on it. /ends
