why is basically EVERY reporter getting the NY/VA later abortion story wrong? Because MN republicans are “vowing” to block a similar expansion NOT UNDERSTANDING THAT IS ALREADY MN LAW. bemidjipioneer.com/news/governmen… 
Anyway, I can’t waste another day trying to beat back reporters who are carrying water for the right and their “infanticide” claims. So here is your list of simple facts:
fact 1) Roe/Doe made abortion legal EVEN IN the third trimester, as long as carrying the fetus to term endangers the pregnant person's physical OR MENTAL health. From the MOMENT that occurred, the right argued that abortion was now legal until birth for any reason.
This is not a new argument. They've been saying it for almost 50 years. If you think its something new, you haven't listened. The only thing different now is they have a VERY well financed media empire pushing it and a mass of (in some cases fake ) social media acct to spread it
Fact 2) states like VA, NM NY are codifying Roe's protections because Roe will fall w/in 2 years&state law will rule. They are literally doing what the right has demanded for decades - making state law because federal law won't be there. THE RIGHT wanted this back at state level
If you are outraged over/obsessively covering this, but not over red states setting up their triggers and making people bear pregnancies that risk their health, could kill them, or of fetuses that won't survive, well, thanks for being the problem.
Fact 3) Making abortion legal in the third trimester (or even second) for a variety of factors DOES NOT MEAN A PHYSICIAN WILL PERFORM IT. A) they aren't all trained, b) they may not have clinics that can do them c) hospitals are expensive d) doctors may decide its not justified
tl;dr - the right is taking a situation they created (send abortion back to the states) & using their massive resources to bully any state that doesn't agree w/their version of how the law should be. Today it's abortion. Tomorrow, gay marriage, civil rights etc. Don't fall for it
and now I'm going to go wake up my kids and send them off to school for the first time since Jan 23. so, go off and be smart, yall
