I do genuinely appreciate @JeremyCorbyn whipping for the Cooper Amendment. The utter disgraces who defied the whip, I'll address at a later date.
I say this now because I have to be frank with my next tweet. So consider this tweet my spoonful of sugar to help the next on go down.
Who seeks an election by promising to do something (Brexit) they know most of their voters don't want?
Labour Brexit simply gives up our say.
So either use the seats you have for PV or "We've negotiated a deal but people don't like it so we seek a mandate to put it to the people"
Campaigning against your own voters' wishes is just not smart politics.
And no more "But he must be careful of his leave voting constituencies". Those are areas like Sunderland which would be worst hit by Brexit. Go there! Ask them what they really need!
