1. In 2018 the US DC in Washington appears to have started using a new database field. Up to Dec 31, 2017, it appears that requests under the Stored Communications Act were filed with the mj (Magistrate Judge) field. Starting Jan. 1, 2018 they were filed under the new "sc" field.
2. I found total of 866 docket with "mj" database field in 2016. If I understand this field in 2016 it would cover many filing events incl grand jury, search & arrest warrants and Stored Communications Act (SCA). Also possibly charges via complaint or information. Daily ave 2.3. 
3. 2017 Mueller year one, continued the use of "mj" field as a catch all for filings. The last number I can fine for 2017 "mj" dockets is 1022.

The total "mj" 2018 filings was 166. Approximately one every two days. I think it's reasonable to conclude that the SCA made up about 2 filings a day in 2016 & 2017.

5. But what the new sc field was able to conceal was the fact that in 2018, there were 3580 SCA warrant filings. Approx. ten a day.
6. So far in 2019 there have been 243 SCA filings. That's 34 a day. If you kick out the weekends it's 49 a day. At the current rate that will be over 12,000 in DC alone. So I know you're going to ask, so what? Well if you're one of the Trump Russia conspirators who was using
