1 @gidimeister & @ayosogunro did threads saying 'Buharists justify poverty'. Their threads weren't only unfair but totally untrue & uncalled for. I will try to explain a little what madam @iyaboawokoya was talking about before they 'came for her' with this #Thread When you hear
2. the phrase the rich get richer while the poor gets poorer, in Nigeria it doesn't always mean the rich who work hard for their money but the rich who are strategically positioned to amass wealth through corruption.
3. When billions are spent on power & we still ask 'where is the power', when monies allocated for defense are diverted to private accounts & today we have 'dasukigate', when billions of $ generated from NNPC go into private accounts, when contractors are paid almost in full
4. & jobs abandoned, when universities keep demanding for billions from FGN & yet quality of education never improves & then the one source of all these monies (crude) drops, it's only a matter for time for things to go from bad to worse. Unfortunately you guys who have mastered
5. the art of flowing English, have blue ticks & PHDs beside your profiles bamboozle your followers with big words while ignoring the reason(s) why we are here today. Instead of attacking those who have led us to this juncture, you attack those who are calling for people
6. to adjust to the current hard times & be patient while things get fixed. Many of you want it fixed between 3-4 years but were silent 16-30 years ago while the pillaging was ongoing. You accuse us of justifying poverty because we say to adjust, how would you feel if you are
7. accused of justifying corruption because it appears you preferred the days when the treasury was open for everyone with access to cut his/her share? The truth is that there’s been class warfare going on for the last 16 to more years between the political looting class
8. and the common man & unfortunately the former has won. Many of us have far too little because a small number have stolen so much. I can't speak for every Buharists but a few that I know stick with him not because he is some messiah but because he is one president who
9. has rattled the political class who have brought us here today. Remember when DSS raided a few judges & found heaps of $€£ stashed in their homes? Remember the NIA ikoyi house raid? What about several bank accounts with billions permanently forfeited to the government?
10. What about accused negotiating plea bargains? What about the CJN running from pillar to post to defend all the funds he's hidden over years? Just yesterday a former CJN in the ongoing malabu oil case admitted to receiving $10m in illegal deal. Yet, many of us come here to
11. defend & justify it witj beautifully composed English. You are the ones who will talk due process & speak in a condescending manner to anyone who says but crimes were committed. Can anyone of you mention one time in the history of this country the government has gone to this
12. extent to rein in some people who have stolen such huge amounts of money? Can you mention at any time when such number of properties have been confiscated? You are the ones who will still call it selective justice and witch hunting. Have you ever seen an election where
13. few days to elections, dollars & naira is not being shared all over the country? So while you insult us Buharists about justifying poverty, you just might be accused of justifying CORRUPTION. I will end this thread by quoting a proverb my mother-in-law always tells her kids;
14. kama oga suwa sugbom, ka otawa kpomkpom. It translates, instead of it to rain & a flood carries me, I'd prefer it drizzles. It's a proverb about wealth; instead of amassing questionable wealth such that people wonder & it gives me a bad name,
15. I'd rather stick to my meager source of income. She simply advises her children to forget the fast lane riches like some of you here preach.

End.
