Corbyn letter to PM sets out terms for support of Brexit - a permanent customs union. Five points, not six tests, with no mention of “exact same benefits” 
Corbyn also acknowledges a deal “would need to include A backstop” having been highly critical of THE backstop - this follows work in Belfast from Starmer praised by sister party SDLP
Point number 2 on Single Market is important - shared institutions - (could that be efta Court?) “close alignment” - how close?. As far as I can see Labour only criticises about 1% of the Single Market acquis - on state aid and competition. So how far is this off EEA?...
Now here is something quite interesting - new @fmwales - Corbyn ally Drakeford has continued Carwyn Jones Welsh Gov approach to Single Market - only EU can be full members but other countries can “participate” he told me after meeting PM last month “pretty close to Norway model”
What Labour letter basically does rule out without spelling it out is fully independent trade policy - acknowledges keeping Common External Tariff (for everything - ie “comprehensive”) and for that reason PM will have to rebuff or split her own party
However it is worth noting that the PMs deal with activated backstop is not far off a permanent customs union - and would also restrict the ability to set independent tariffs and so fully independent trade. This point has been made by Labour figures to the PM inside Number 10.
