The "hate crime" designation is political and ideological. Consider the case of the white man who was beaten, robbed, and stripped naked in the street by four black people in Baltimore a few years ago. All caught on video. Wasn't prosecuted as a hate crime.

The culprits spent a year in prison. Now imagine that exact same situation but with the races reversed. Does anyone doubt that the crime (which would have gotten breathless national attention) would be considered a hate crime?

This is such a dumb talking point. When a man acts like a jerk, we call him a jerk. When a woman acts like a jerk, we say she is a strong and independent woman.
This idea that women get MORE flack for character defects is so unbelievably untrue and stupid. The exact opposite is often the case.
Go talk to a guy who's been through family court and ask him about this. Women are very often given much more leeway for the exact sort of behavior that men are condemned for.

People have completely stopped cooking at home or what?! This total madness of ordering outside food every day... How is this healthy? Back in the day outside food used be reserved for special occasions.. Don't even see people carrying lunch boxes to college/work anymore.
For us back in the old days,eating outside was reserved on special occasions like b'day or as a treat for getting good grades. As kids used to look forward to such days

Nowdays such days can be everyday. No wonder kids get so bored of everything so easily with such accessibility
Even a few years ago eating outside on festival days was a strict NO NO especially.

But these days so many seem completely ok with consuming outside junk even on festival days.

Probably they'll even start offering zomato parcel as naivedyam to our Gods in the coming days.

I was working as a casualty officer at the State Hospital Akure. I ran shifts with my colleagues and we were in charge of all emergencies ranging from medical, Obs/Gyn, pediatrics, surgical emergencies. I thrive in emergency situations, I like the A&E.
It is a place of work, sober reflection and fun when everything goes well. Reality check, different stories, different people.
Back then the hospital had a theater and an emergency cupboard, well stocked to ensure that patients got the required attention in minutes.

Few years ago I had a conversation with a coworker in their mid/late 50s. He was lamenting that he wasted his youth, got married late, had kids late, never saved and would be working through his 70s to just get the kids out of the house.
He claimed he’d never be able to retire. A familiar sentiment.

I mentioned my thought that retirement seemed strange. You work your best years to then spend down the money when older and not as able.
It seemed that there some be some retirement type thing in your early 20s that you pay back in your later working years. He said. “Yeah, we already have that. It’s called living on credit cards, welcome to my 20s..”

People familiar with the history of the Air Force (i.e., not very many people, including most current enlistees of the Air Force), will understand this analogy of why we ultimately, if no immediately, need a space force. [thread]
In the early 20th century, only about a decade after its invention, army tacticians struggled to figure out what to do with it militarily. In Germany, they treated it as an extension of the cavalry (which was still an active thing).
As cavalry officers, the German pilots who flew the crazy powered kites of WW I had to wear sabers and spurs in flight.
