I have to say, I'm more on the GND side than the Yellen side when it comes to environmental policy.

Both approaches under-emphasize technology and international incentives, but the Yellen approach under-emphasizes these things more.

Carbon tax is fine and good, but it's only one small piece of the climate solution, not the main tool.

1/So, just to take a break from complaining about the world's problems, here's a thread of San Francisco restaurant recommendations!
2/My favorite izakaya in SF is Izakaya Kou.

(For those who don't know, izakaya is like Japanese tapas.)

This would be considered a solidly good izakaya in Japan, I think. A mix of traditional and original dishes. And they almost always have open seats.

3/My favorite hot pot place in SF is actually A) a chain, and B) individualized rather than communal hot pot!

This thread is completely, absolutely, utterly correct.

Block early, block often.
Each account has precisely one opportunity to say "Trump wants immigrants, just not ILLEGALS!!!" to me before the block hammer descends.
I should mention that I also unblock really easily, if people request it, or if I notice I've blocked someone who looks OK.

This is a demonstration of how rich-country technology (in this case, cheap solar power) can help poor countries get rich without burning nearly as much carbon.

Technology is a super-high-impact climate policy.
We're in the process of doing the same with batteries, electric cars, and energy storage. We can and should do this faster than we're doing.

We also need to do this with cement manufacturing, steel manufacturing, and meat substitutes.
Any climate policy or Green New Deal we do must have a BIG technology component.

The actual reducing CO₂ emissions because of climate change, of which electricity generation is the (most) important but not only factor. I will not quibble with your explicitly dishonest attempt to blame others for your own incompetence in posting on your own Website a version of FAQs for which you got a well deserved reputational black eye.
2. You're not the first dishonest politician and you will certainly not be the last. So forget that, as it is not entirely consequential, so long as you learn from your mistakes. Let us turn to your latest and what you now claim to be the authentic version of the resolution.
3. Let us also dispense with the loads of nonsense in your resolution that treats highly debatable and questionable statements from the U.N. and other political actors as gospel truth. Environmental catastrophists and progressive activists aren't exactly known for honesty.

GND. Prepare to be disappointed.
A few pages of hyperbole & exhortation about big goals.
Almost no policy substance and that which is there is pretty weak tea: “reduce emissions ... as much as technologically possible”
Not yet worth debating here as there is not much to debate⤵️
P.1 of GND says drought has increased.
Compare USNCA 2018: “drought statistics over the entire CONUS have declined ... no detectable change in meteorological drought at the global scale"
This sloppiness should be cleaned up.
A worthy cause =\= anything goes for science in policy.
Taking the GND seriously - to be C neutral in ten years - means decommissioning the US fossil fuel industry, almost the whole thing. That means intentionally & rapidly decreasing FF production of oil, natural gas, coal as well as their usage.
Did I miss that part of the proposal?

When I first did real (small-a) agile, at @pivotallabs circa 2009, it was clear to me almost immediately that this was the most powerful way to build software that I’d ever participated in.
Pivotal wasn’t a brand so much at that point, and agile hadn’t “won.” I frequently had to explain, discuss, and (ultimately) defend the practices to many of the client developers on my early projects.
