Sanders looking for running mate “not of my gender.” Can’t he even bear to say the word “woman”? May seem trivial but I see it as deep.
He also has a problem with saying “Black.” He doesn’t want to highlight what is obvious: he’s a very white GUY. And gender and race, for him, are abstractions rather than lived realities. (2)
In his “I’m running” ad, he also didn’t mention “reproductive rights” in the list of inequities he would fight for. Once again, revealing.
