What Bruce Ohr and Glenn Simpson discussed in their Jan. 20, 2017 conversation -- Simpson expressed concern that a Steele dossier source was about to be exposed int he media. Four days later, Sergei Millian was identified. dailycaller.com/2019/02/21/bru… via @dailycaller
If Simpson was expressing concerns about identification of Millian, which is the most likely possibility, that's somewhat ironic given that Simpson reportedly tipped ABC News' Brian Ross off to Millian in July 2016. Ross interviewed Millian on camera.
Quoting from transcript of Ohr's testimony to Congress:
Ohr also testified that he shared Sergei Millian's name with the FBI after Simpson said he was a link between Russian gov't and Trump campaign.
Simpson's tipoff to ABC's Brian Ross fascinates me. Simpson reportedly doubted Millian's credibility, but referred him to Ross anyway. And Ross interviewed Millian on July 29, 2016, which is almost exactly when FBI opened Crossfire Hurricane.
A week earlier, Millian first contacted George Papadopoulos. A month before that, Millian was spotted in St. Petersburg speaking to Oleg Deripaska, who has used Steele as a contractor.
