Hey, bro...

Our pilots have been ‘practicing’ extractions in multiple war zones since 2001 - I’m not sure why they’d need to practice in downtown L.A.

I’m not saying I have a better idea than ‘an excercise’, but I’m also not trying to be the best at ‘normalcy bias’.

ICYMI: After Trayvon was shot to death,media & leftists gaslighted the public to believe George Zimmerman was white instead of how he identifies, which is hispanic.

I can think of no more effective way to dishonor the dead than the ‘never let a crisis go to waste’ strategy!
It wasn’t long after that the same people attempted to require usage of restrooms by the gender that an individual ‘associates’ with...

However, in this case it was deemed important that George Zimmerman be written as white.

Stupid is as stupid does...
On the one hand I’ll give this goober credit for at least recognizing George’s hispanic heritage...

On the other, I’ll note that he had to create an entirely new hate group called “Hispanic White Supremacist”.

There is no end to the attempts to seed racial divisions...

#Thread There may have been sabotage last week, but a look at the power utilities report to Nersa paints Eskom on the brink of collapse. Eskom's own report describes a litany of severe faults with the new power stations' most important components...
So problem one is the technology Medupi was built with which is very modern technology... Way mismatched to the low grade coal quality in the ground at Lephalale. The Eskom report details poor coal is damaging every part of Kusile and Medupi.
Then Eskom admits that design and technical requirements are not met. The Mills to pulverise coals don't meet technical specs. The boilers' design means they overheat. Coal damages them. The filter plant to filter fumes is damaged by coal & excess ash builld up & trips often.

Wow, that last #thread really took off. Let’s try another. I want to think with folks about how we can talk about #SurvivingRKelly outside the logic of the prison industrial complex.
Many of the people who responded to my last thread engaged in carceral logics saying some variation on “his ass should rot in jail” if not calls for his death. Are there other ways we can imagine justice, accountability and healing?
Prison abolitionist Mariame Kaba has said, as ppl raised w/ carceral logics it’s hard for us to imagine or desire alternatives. The #prisonindustrialcomplex has limited how we think about justice—even though other nations do things differently.

The road has over the last decade become emblamatic of many things wrong with Naija. 2 failed concessions (2009, Jan 2015), a history of budgetary cuts,etc

Good news is that all of that now history, Road now been transferred to PIDF, a $650m Fund managed by @nsia_nigeria #Thread
PIDF took over three (3) critical road projects, to ensure they’re taken out of unpredictable budget cycles and to guarantee funding for them until completion: Second Niger Bridge, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road and the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. So, funding now guaranteed.
PS. Scope of work on the Expressway has recently been expanded, which probably also means a pushback of whatever completion date previously announced. For example the Lagos-Shagamu section is getting 2 new underpasses, 3 new FlyOvers, 2 Toll Plazas, and 10 new Pedestrian Bridges.
