The hashtag duo of #The200 and #TheMighty200 has been making the rounds the last few days. We downloaded all tweets containing either hashtag, yielding 35325 tweets from 14139 accounts since the morning of 2/22.

Where did #The200/#TheMighty200 start and why? The early traffic appears to be a reaction to a study of Twitter activity surrounding #VoterFraud, focused on 200 suspect accounts. The study explicitly clarifies that the accounts are not being labeled "bots", btw.

It hasn't taken long for #The200/#TheMighty200 to become attached to topics unrelated to the study in question - here's an example of it being pushed in connection with this week's Michael Cohen testimony. It's also finding its way into #QAnon tweets.
Speaking of #QAnon, it and related hashtags are quite popular amongst the accounts tweeting #The200/#TheMighty200. Strangely, #GreenNewDeal also shows up. Media sources linked are largely right-wing conspiracy sites. (Charts based on each account's most recent 200 tweets.)
Retweet network for #The200/#TheMighty200. One of the main nodes, @superyayadize, changed names very recently from @StandSuperyaya. This account was also one of the earliest to tweet either of the hashtags.

We ended up finding tweets containing Russophobia etc going all the way back to April 2007, although the volume doesn't take off until early 2014 (hmmm. . .). The very first tweet is a false positive - the word "russophobe" is in the name of a blog. archive.is/7SSaW
Here are the first twenty accounts with on-topic tweets containing "Russophobia", "Russophobic", "Russophobia", or "anti-Russian" along with the tweets in question. The 2008 Russia/Georgia war is a theme of several.

We downloaded tweets linking to the app in question (site name is in the chart - once again, be careful), yielding 15433 tweets from 6753 accounts in 10 days. The spikiness is due to the tweets being posted by the app, which appears to fire at specific times of the day.
We didn't go so far as to actually log into the app in question with a Twitter account, but the list of permissions it demands is scary: the ability to tweet/follow on one's behalf, alter one's profile, and access one's DMs. Also, there's the drive-by malware download.

Don't tell YourNewsWire (or whatever the factual duck that site is called now), but there's a new(ish) fake news site stealing their thunder. Let's take a look at "The Washington Pundit" (thewashingtonpundit(dot)com).

We downloaded tweets linking to thewashingtonpundit(dot)com, yielding 50750 tweets from 23400 accounts in the last 10 days. The site's "official" account, @TWPundit, is the largest node in the network.
Going further back, @TWPundit is also the first account ever to link to the site (back on Jan 11, 2018). The site receives random spikes in traffic starting in June 2018, with a high volume of steady activity beginning in January 2019.

2/ to know at least the outlines of the story. These folks are close to Don Mcgahn in addition to Kavanaugh. Two days ago I heard from a legal prof who noted these cryptic tweets were spurring chatter in the legal academic world about what blockbuster these guys knew.
