So, these 20 fine people voted against Yvette Cooper's amendment, which exactly mirrored Theresa May's own pledge yesterday. The stormtroopers of the ERG emerge...
Another 88 abstensions too, mainly ERG types. Theresa May's far from out of the woods.
So that's just over a hundred country-wreckers we have to contend with. Not a huge force compared to 650 MPs, but a big chunk of the Tory Party. We can expect them to keep pulling Theresa May's strings like the puppet she is.

So Chris Grayling's incompetence with the ferries has cost us ANOTHER £33 million, which is the settlement that will be paid to Eurotunnel. Presumably with an NDA so that we never see the original documents CG put together for the failed ferry tenders.

Labour are playing an extraordinarily dangerous game of chicken with Theresa May. They're planning to abstain so that her deal passes, on the condition that there's an amendment made that subjects it to a people's vote validation.

However:
A) We've seen the contempt with which the Government treats amendments
B) They will have no control over the wording of the referendum, nor the timing. What if TM makes it "my deal vs no deal"
C) It's abdicating their responsibility: they know her deal's junk, but...
D) What if some other amendment is later passed to strip theirs out, as the bill bounces between the HOC/HOL and back
E) What if TM finds another way to wriggle out
Remember, she only needs her deal to pass. She couldn't care less how. Once it passes, that's Brexit done & dusted.

The will of the British people cannot ‘overturn’ the will of the British people. Nobody voted for Theresa May’s deal (or “Norway+”), and it has shockingly low support in both Parliament and the country.
This is simply untrue. There are thousands of grassroot volunteers in leave-voting areas all across the country, as well as those within the campaign (@Femi_Sorry) who have spent two years travelling and listening to leave voters.

1) Ever watch crime shows or read a thriller where the cop "knows" a guy did it, but can't probe it? The whole episode is spent looking for the proof.

2) "It's not what you know, it's what you can prove" (Denzel Washington, "Training Day."
3) This is the case with a "normal" crime. But #Spygate is NOT a "normal crime." It is political.

4) As such, it will require a much more extensive & complex approach.
5) As a "political" issue, it must be kept in mind that Cankles won the majority vote, but 69.4m people voted AGAINST her and only 65.8m voted FOR her.

6) Still as a matter of reality--& that's all I deal in--that leaves roughly half the country aligned with Cankles.

The short version is this: Facebook has discovered that $100k of campaign ad money was spent by Russian sock puppet accounts.
Now, $100k is small change in terms of Facebook ads and (inter)national (geo)politics, especially a U.S. presidential campaign.
