Stop reporting on Trump's entreaties with murderous dictators as good faith diplomacy. He fawns over them, says explicitly he wishes he had their power, excuses their atrocities. Show this for what it is.
So much of this crisis is because people who should know better continue to treat this aberration as if it's normal, as if the entire thing isn't hugely dangerous. Words and perception matter. You know better. You absolutely know better.
The problem is reporting honestly on Trump means reporting that the entire institution, upon which government, the press that covers politics, and the economy that sustains that press, is corrupted. It's a reliance on a corrupt system that keeps people from admitting what's wrong
They see Trump as a cancer that cut be cut out of the body politic instead of a symptom of a much larger and pervasive disease. This would never have happened, could never have happened, if government and capitalism in this country were in any way healthy or functioning.
