Fox News and Republicans always claim leaders of color are pawns of larger influence. This is what happened with Obama and now AOC, and it’s a hallmark of white supremacy, going a ways back, to claim minorities are subject to political manipulation.
This stuff was used as a means to keep slavery as an institution and then, post-Civil War, was a political strategy to undo African American progress in Reconstruction. This isn’t a dog whistle, it is full-blown, full-throated white supremacy.
Fox News and the Republican Party aren’t just incidentally in-step with white supremacy, they are the carriers of the torch of white supremacy. That’s what we’re dealing with with no exaggeration whatsoever.
