Okay, so why not give Q a chance? Seems like the reasonable thing to do.
Let me start off by saying that people often tell me that I need to research Q's drops before I criticize. That's vaguely insulting, and not just because "research" is a tactic I have explored before.
The assumption is that I cannot possibly have read Q and researched their movement without seeing "the truth."

I *have* been following Q. Not from the beginning, because I am not 14 and therefore not on 4chan, but for a little more than a year. I followed Pizzagate before that, before the two theories merged "officially." I use quotes because it's always been the same movement. 
So, let's just file all that away and turn to the question at hand: can I give Q a chance and be more objective?

Oct 2017, a government operative with ultra-top-secret Dept of Energy Q clearance decides to let a group of teenaged shitlords know that a massive martial law scenario is brewing, by posting on 4chan, in between "tits or gtfo" and "nice quads" posts.

And better yet, the very first Q prediction is a total bust. Nothing happens.

But Q had attracted the attention of Pizzagate believers who were discouraged by the lack of arrests by this point, too. And so they invented all sorts of reasons why nothing seemed to have happened but actually things were happening secretly.
So then of course there were the 60,000+ sealed indictments that weren't, because the PACER searches were set to 'all' instead of 'cr' so they produced results listing all sealed court *proceedings*.

I can go on, but there's no reason to. *Everything* foundational to QAnon is objectively wrong. It's false, never happened.
The ONLY thing that's real are the *feelings* Q inspires in certain people.

Q gives Anons a community to belong to, that tells them they're special and smart and righteous. And *that* is what they crave. But it also controls them like a cult, stringing them along as they lose everything outside of QAnon, just a little longer, don't give up now.
That is OBJECTIVELY HORRIFYING. These people may be forever damaged, chasing a conspiracy theory that says Democrats are harvesting the adrenal glands of babies to make a serum that grants them immortality.
They're using a magic clock to try to demonstrate that Q predicts the future and/or has a time machine invented by Tesla.
They think Q controls the weather.
This movement starts with "it's important to ask questions" and ends with "don't ask questions that will make you doubt Q."
That's a cult. It is a cult now. Maybe not for every one of them, but for enough.
