A customs union will not get the UK frictionless trade
A customs union will not get the UK access to the EU services market
Only full EU members get frictionless trade
Only EU/EEA members get access to the EU services market
Non of the EU customs unions gets true gets frictionless trade
Non of the EU's customs unions gets services access, not one
Your proposed deal will not deliver what you say.
Basic knowledge of trading with the EU makes this clear.
This simply is not true, only full EU membership get frictionless trade
Even EFTA members faces some friction
You MUST a full EU member, that also means abiding by the EU 4 Freedoms
People, Goods, Services and Capital
Labours current position ends free movement of People making frictionless trade impossible, renders Labours claim moot
Those are reserved for EU/EEA only
Only they get access to services, requires the 4 freedoms
None of the EU’s existing customs union arrangements cover services, not a one
Loosing our access to the EU services market will make a huge dent in it.
Very small at best, this will be limited to very minor input AFTER we have a EU trade deal of our own that could take 5 to 10 years
Even EFTA has very little input on EU trade deals & that is as close as you can be to the EU while not being in
Dead simple here
10% tariffs on imported cars to EU
And we import most of parts from the EU
The friction at the border will ruin the Just in Time (JIT) supply chain
The car industry will die, its as simple as that
That's my fathers job around 1m others gone
