You might have been too busy watching paint dry or spoons evolve or something to have noticed, but Steve Bannon and fake medal aficionado @SheriffClarke held a #WeBuildTheWall rally and 110 people showed up.

There are of course duplicate tweets on the topic.

We downloaded tweets containing Clarke/Clark, Bannon, and rally from the last 10 days, yielding 1463 tweets from 1352 accounts. Most of the traffic is from 3/10 through 3/13, but there's a bit of activity back on 3/6.
Retweet network for tweets about the rally. Actually, there are (as of the time we pulled the data) two disconnected networks; one centered on @gatewaypundit promoting the rally and one comprised of accounts critical of the rally.
Who tweeted about the #WeBuildTheWall rally first? Left-wing accounts actually beat supporters of the rally to the punch by 4 days. The first account promoting the rally is @gqforbes4, one of several automated accounts with identical early tweets linking gateway pundit's stream.
We tested the accounts tweeting about the rally for automation based on 24/7 activity/use of automation services. 15 of 1352 (1.1%) were flagged as bots. Although the percentage is low, the accounts are noteworthy due to being among the first to tweet about the topic. Also. . .
Here are the media sources most frequently linked by the 15 bots tweeting about Bannon & Clarke's #WeBuildTheWall rally. It's mostly a mix of GatewayPundit, obscure right-wing news sites with names matching the bots tweeting them, and clickbait URL shorteners with malware popups.
