Storm Update! 1 of 7. Two rounds (really, just one) of storms tomorrow.

ROUND ONE: fizzles shortly after midnight. HRRR model shows strong storms now in west Tennessee, but as they get to us in the pre-dawn hours tomorrow morning, they dissolve into weaksauce, no big deal.
2 of 7. The Euro model agrees, Round 1 of storms fizzles like an ice cube in boiling water. Even the NAM3 model agrees, ⬇️.
3 of 7. This is why the Storm Prediction Center keeps us out of its severe weather outlook through 7 AM. Round 1: meh.

Winds strong all day Thu, gusting up to 45 MPH. Secure loose objects and lightweight loved ones. Parking under trees is risky. Winds will LOL at your umbrella.
4 of 7. Off/On showers mid-day, then ROUND 2. Storms develop after noon then move east. ETA here is the main question. Here's a review of the data.

HRRR model (⬇️) ETA is 3-4 PM. This also the Euro model's ETA. However, the NAM3 model (see next tweet)
5 of 7. The NAM3 model ETA is 5-6 PM ⬇️. All models show storms worth watching, but they don't look that tough...until you look behind the data.
6 of 7. Wind energy will be powerful. There should be sufficient instability/CAPE to cause bad storms. Main concern damaging winds, isolated flooding (although we're not expected to get more than 1" here), with lower probabilities of hail or a tornado. See graphic ⬇️
7 of 7. Stay connected for ETA and storm severity changes. Expect this data to change. Official ETA from @NWSNashville is between 1 PM to 7 PM. More to follow tonight and all day tomorrow.
