Problem is we expect too much from the world and do too little to stand up for our national interest. #China will never allow UNSC sanctions on #Pakistan-sponsored terror groups. Nor will Beijing allow New Delhi to join NSG. Expecting China to stand by #India is outright stupid.

As a nation we have always sought shoulders to cry on and shoot from. We think we are being clever. We aren't. We are what we are: Willing to strike but mortally scared to wound. This happens when we let a circus called #Lebu Media with its #LeLi Commentariat influence policy.

Power flows from the barrel of a gun. But greater power flows from a Chinese weapon the world has come to fear. That weapon is called Economy. #India will have its way the day Indian economy has muscle and clout equalling or exceeding China's. Be ruthless in pursuing this goal.

Till then, do what's in India's security interest. For starters, GoI must give up its delusional pursuit of 'Soft Power', ie, tax-funded junketing by freeloaders dishing out free gyan and demonstrating yogic poses to a disinterested world. There is only one power and it is hard.

And if you are a nationalist push GoI to discard the bogus, misleading, misquoted, debilitating motto 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'. The world is not India's family. It never was. It never shall be. Wearing flowers in your hair and sticking daisies into your guns is passe.

Hopefully in my lifetime I will have the honour and privilege of an Indian Prime Minister saying this in the Congress of the world's most powerful nation. Not for the applause but out of conviction and courage. Not as an individual but as the voice of the nation called #India.

We're not one family within #India. We are deeply divided in thought and action. We are disunited on national interest. We are a fragmented society. Yet we preach 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family) to others. And we expect the world to take us seriously. Laughable.
