Decent people in Australia are sick to their stomachs over the NZ attack, and solace is not available to us. Our politics, our media, our leaders and representatives, are part of the problem. They mightn't pull triggers, but they light fuses.Their business model is lighting fuses
Whatever we, or they, as individuals have done to call out the racism, the white supremacy, the dog-whistling, to stand up against the anti-immigration rhetoric of senior politicians, minor parties and Senators, it isn't enough. Not nearly enough. We haven't done enough
Solace is not available to us. There is no solace in hearing our PM condemn what happened, because we know. There is no solace in reporting white supremacists to Twitter and having them banned, though we should do that. There is no solace or excuse in quoting the number 19.
Unequivocally, SkyNews should be shut down.
