The evidence suggests the Trump Organization was perfectly comfortable working with sanctioned Russian institutions, and sought help from the Kremlin, during the campaign, and as Russia was attacking our election.
If the Trump Tower Moscow had been built, Trump would have made $1m on signing the license agreement, $1m more once the building site was approved, & $2m w/in two yrs, whether or not project was finished. Biggest upfront fee of any Trump deal we've examined.
