1) A reasonable analysis, to which I would add a few things. First, ASIO notes that: 'Individuals motivated by other ideologies [than Islamist extremists] – such as an extreme left or right-wing ideology – may consider conducting an act of terrorism.'

2) That's why a no of ppl in some way assoc w anTEEfa stuff in AUS have received visits in the past few years. Further, concern over left/right extremism is not brand-new; it was also noted in the agency's 2010--2011 report. See : slackbastard.anarchobase.com/?p=27201.

3) 'The only recent ASIO-reported incidence of right-wing terrorism in Australia was Operation Fortaleza on August 6, 2016, when an extreme right-wing individual's alleged preparations were disrupted.'

4) 'The person was Phillip Michael Galea, 31, of Braybrook in #Melbourne's west, who was charged in 2016 with "planning to commit a terrorist act and collecting material in connection to a terrorist act".'

5) 'The prosecution claimed Galea was targeting the Melbourne #Anarchist Club in Northcote, the Resistance Centre in the CBD and Trades Hall in Carlton.'

6) Oddly enuff, 9 mths prior, in NOV 2015, UPF members Blair Cottrell, Neil Erikson, Chris Shortis, Andrew Wallis & Linden Watson paid a visit to MAC, & to 3CR. As I wrote @ the time:

9) As noted in article, Galea had many assocs w local far-right grps, fancied himself (like the Christchurch killer) a Knights Templar, & was also chummy w Erikson. Here the two enjoy a laff after PG first got arrest for stuff.

10) Williams also makes ref to Michael James Holt, 'who had threatened to carry out a mass shooting & considered targeting Westfield Tuggerah on the NSW Central Coast.' Erikson was chums w Holt too, & the pair had laffs over executing ppl in Fed Sq while selling popcorn.

11) CW doesn't make ref to Edhouse & Aryan Nations or White & Right Wing Resistance Australia (an offshoot of RWNZ), but I do. Oddly, along w Galea & Holt, Erikson was chums w Edhouse too; typically, Edhouse lobbied me to be included on the blog.

12) Anyway, when it comes to mapping the far-right in AUS, whatever ASIO & other state agencies are doing, a lotta stuff is actually in public domain, & much of it on blog. I do this as a public service, 'cause I think it's important, 'cause I'm a fucking idiot >

14) That may be so. But the challenge for me has been to get the public to pay attn, to think about stuff, & to develop kolektiv responses to creeping fascism. The massacre in Christchurch means more ppl are paying attn, & taking the matter srsly, but there's obv lots moar to do.

15) Finally, because I can't resist, I've written about CW before for @OverlandJournal (on the subject of purported 'left-wing extremism'). The moral of the story is: a) beware of experts; b) beware esp (?) of the new crop of o/night experts on far-right.
