In this study Muslim OBCs are clubbed with other OBCs. The 'Muslim' column has the data for Muslims who are in the open category. As the study shows, overall the economic ranking of Muslims in India is closer to avg and at par with OBCs.

I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

[1] I am a #Yazidi and not yet 17, but I have a story to tell the world. My people have always been peaceful and non-aggressive. We believe in God and humanity and respect other religions. I grew up in a village called Wardia, near #Sinjar, #Iraq. We lived with honor and dignity.
[2] We were a very close community and pretty much kept to ourselves. When I was only 13, we heard that ISIS was headed toward us and also that they were doing very bad things. #YazidiPlight
[3] We fled to the mountain, but ISIS intercepted all of us and forced us back to our village. By that time many of our very own #Muslim neighbors had joined in with ISIS and were also killing many #Yazidis.

Tweets like these are what made me look at gender identity ideology and my place in it. On the surface, they seem fair and inclusive, but actually are dismissive and ultimately discriminatory and dangerous. Here's why... (thread, sorry)
I've been trying to wrap my head around how we've got to a place where we're undermining the reality of female biology. Sure, I get that some women want to change theirs, but people excluding themselves doesn't suddenly make it unimportant, or make it exclusionary in itself.
They don't have to be part of the conversation, no one's forcing them. Taking part, or not, is entirely their choice.
