Some constituencies now have had over 35% of the eligible electorate sign the "revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU" petition. If they have even half a brain, there will be some MPs in marginal seats feeling very worried this morning!

Especially because the % is of the total electorate, not of those who voted in the last GE. So the figures in some constituencies are bumping up against the 50% mark, if you go only by people who voted in GE2017.
Here's an intriguing one: Islington North (Jeremy Corbyn's constituency)
24,600 people signed the petition
In GE2017, 54,515 people voted
So that means 45% as many people have signed to revoke A50 as voted in GE2017. If they all voted LibDeb next time, Corbyn would be out.

ERG are coming around to Theresa May's Brexit frankendeal, not because it's any better than it was, but because they've realised:
A) The UK's future relationship will only be shaped in step 2
B) TM won't lead those negotiations
C) There's no wriggling out of Brexit once we leave
So once the UK's out, they think they can install their headbanger in chief as PM, and have their shiny hard Brexit they've been lusting over since they could walk.
So more moderate MPs need to wise up to this, and withdraw their support for MV3 even if they voted for MV2.

People who argue against the demographic changes that mean Leave voters are dying and being replaced by younger Remainers by saying "ah, but the Remainers are getting older so they're becoming Leavers" are missing the point.

Yes, people tend to get more conservative as they age.
But people are shaped by their environment. Young people who have grown up in a world of cheap travel and global connectivity have a very different formative experience from those who grew up during or in the aftermath of WW2.
So Remainers won't simply become Leavers by ageing. It's not the next stage of the attitudinal conveyor belt. Over generations, attitudes really do change, and stay changed.

The more that principled MPs resign to vote their consciences and put the interest of their constituents and the nation first, the more it makes those who cling stubbornly to their Brexit unicorns seem dastardly and out of touch.
It's telling that Theresa May had 4 ministerial vacancies even before yesterday's 3 resignations. Clearly she's finding it impossible to find anyone who's
A) suitable
and
B) willing to ignore what's right
If she insists on grinding this farce on and on, we could end up with the equivalent of a football match played by 10, 9, 8, 7 players.

But of course every vacancy represents an aspect of the UK Government that has gone from little attention (Brexit) to none at all.

1. With Corbyn saying this, there is now no viable chain of events that leads to #Remain 🇪🇺 so pro-eu campaigners must now put all their efforts into EFTA/EEA.
2. EFTA/EEA gives both leavers and remainers a big chunk of what they want - a settlement the British public can live with.
3. Despite some miscommunication and misinterpretation by commentators this option would not require a permanent customs union. However there would likely need to be an interim cu while necessary agreements, systems put in place and training is carried out.
