I honestly don't think anyone has fully processed what a systemic & profound blow this collusion debacle is to the US media & its ability to lay any valid claim in the future to demanding trust & credibility. Just read that Taibbi piece to see how pervasive the recklessness was.
And: in case the media starts insisting that "we couldn't have known" - as many do about WMD - Democratic-friendly security state officials early on were urging everyone to realize there was no silver bullet coming for Trump. They didn't want to accept it theintercept.com/2017/03/16/key…

In what seems at first glance like a paradox, the rage level directed at the small number of journalists who expressed skepticism over the collusion conspiracy has *increased* since Mueller closed his investigation. But it's consistent with human nature:
The Mueller Report should be released as quickly & fully as possible. But nothing in it can change the key fact: not just that Mueller did not indict Trump, Jr., Kushner, etc., but did not charge *one American* with election-conspiring with Russia. That guts the media narrative.
It is astounding that CNN & especially MSNBC continue to exclude all dissent from its air. The journalists who expressed skepticism about the collusion conspiracy theory are not heard from. They can't allow them to be heard because it will ruin the scam

Truly amazing: MSNBC has succeeded in convincing a lot of people that William Barr is running around radically misrepresenting the true findings of the Mueller report & Mueller and his team of high-powered lawyers are just sitting silently by while he does it.
How dumb & gullible do you have be to believe this? MSNBC is like an apocalyptic cult that kept promising its flock the world would end on a specific date & now that it hasn't, they have to invent new theories to keep them hooked. Hence, Mueller found collusion but Barr is lying.
On the last-gasp conspiracy theory of the collusion dead-enders to keep the flock hooked: that William Barr is materially misrepresenting the Mueller report & Mueller and his entire team are just remaining quiet & not objecting about this wholesale distortion of their work:
