When starting a business, it’s not enough to just have an idea and boom, you step out & just start in the dark. Here are a few things you need to do:

1. You must be honest in assessing your own capability & your weaknesses.

You must objectively consider what you can/can’t do.

2. You must ensure you have a well detailed BUSINESS PLAN. This will help you to know exactly what you need, who you need and every step you need to take to achieve your target.

Don’t joke with this phase.

3. You need CAPITAL and you don’t know how to go about it. Here you need to get ADVISE from someone (experiences banker)who is experienced in raising capital for biz.

Pay for their time if necessary. Ask if they can join your team for a percentage of the business if possible.

Depending on the size of business and the finances needed, I’d say an experienced Project Finance expert will help.

4. Ensure you have an experienced and brilliant lawyer to work with you and your team.

You may not be able to pay your team but if your biz idea is very viable,

They could become partners and co-founders with you and drive the growth of the business.

There is a reason most of the startups & great companies you see today all have co-founders.

There’s so much one person could do.
