What I gathered from watching @AOC special on Green New Deal with @allinwithchris

The Congresswoman has a repertoire of talking points that are poorly timed and not responsive to questions.
Her knowledge of climate science and policy is woefully inadequate to effectively promote the Green New Deal. She needs allies & intellectuals providing policy details.

However, there is no sense of optimism or "we can get this done". Instead, it's just a litany of how broken everything is, how everyone's life sucks, and there's no hope.

The GOP needs to change their strategy and listen to advice from folks my age (millenials) who understand (climate) science, politics and the issues affecting the younger generation.

This is not isolated rhetoric or behavior. It is pervasive. It is incentivized and mimicked for career advancement.
