Problems in the external world, like Brexit, inequality, poverty, mendacious political clusterfuckery, climate change, ecosystem collapse, economic melt-down, tyranny & etc, come from inner coercion. This fact is not understood. It needs to be.

So here’s a thread to help

A key factor in human life, if not THE key factor, is the degree to which people are coerced by stuff going on inside of them.

Everything that we know about the great wisdom centred civilisations, tells us that they viewed inner coercion to be a far more significant problem than external coercion

When you examine this approach you find it to be a far more intelligent than the one we adopt.

If your population is made up of people who are acting out stuff coming up from within, with very little ability to voluntarily stop it becoming thoughts, emotions, speech and actions, then your society will become externally coercive as a result.

So if you don’t want to go through all the business of injustices inequality, poverty, false imprisonments & finally killing each other in wars, the necessity is to organise human society in a way that effectively decreases the numbers living in states of inward coercion

This primary insight was the organisational basis for every flourishing civilisation, over tens of thousands of years, right up until the ascendancy of consumer-capitalism.

Pause to think about that.
