1) Very important point here which shows the detail under all those "half the country want no deal" comments from @GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell & others

No deal is very popular amongst leave voters - as long as they are well off & won't be impacted

@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 2) we dont have all the demographics but we can make some assumptions:
- No deal will have a significant impact
- all voices are equal however if you are calling for no deal knowing you won't personally be affected your "moral authority" to impose that on others is surely reduced
@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 3) - we already know #Brexit is far more popular with Tory voters than Labour voters
- it's probably fair to say the voters that @lisanandy & other MPs represent in the Leave camp are towards the right of this chart
- & this of course is just leave voters

@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 4) so it's not a stretch to say the loudest voices for no deal probably are not Labour voters who will be most impacted but more likely Tory ones, or at least those who personally will be *least impacted* by no deal
@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 5) put crudely, it's very easy to demand "we just voted to leave, let's get out with no deal, we'll be fine" when perhaps your house is paid off, you have a well paid job or you're no longer working - if you don't think "no deal" will impact you personally
@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 6) more seriously, when Labour MPs (or academics such as @GoodwinMJ) announce the headline "more people want no deal" figures without context, they normalise the concept of no deal, making it seem more acceptable to others ("if so many want it, how bad can it be?")
@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 7) to be frank, this can be understood from someone like @GoodwinMJ who is carving out a niche in documenting the fracturing of our post Brexit society.

But it's deeply concerning from Labour MPs like Nandy, Snell or Powell.

@GoodwinMJ @lisanandy @LucyMPowell 8) there's many leavers who are Labour voters, are struggling & are very worried about no deal
& a lot of Labour voters who don't want to leave at all

I'd suggest Labour MPs need to support them, not comfortably off Tory voters who can call for no deal without consequences
