my silver lining; the amount of open and even jubilantly sexist coverage that marred Clinton's 2008/2016 runs ("cackle"! "shrill"! "ambitious"!) seems to be on decline from mainstream press.
one of most disturbing trends i see is movement for women candidates to be at forefront of policy at the same time campaign press decides to phase out policy coverage.

we saw it in 2016 and we're seeing it now.

i mean, i guess the timing could be a coincidence...

they’re terrified of speaking clearly abt whats happening. bc once you acknowledge, in the news pages, the threat Trump poses to democracy, there’s no going back. that then has to be THE story for the rest of the Trump presidency
DC press doesn’t want to have that conversation so Barr is treated as a serious, honest broker and the unfolding coverup is merely yet another he said/he said partisan conflict
