Trump didn’t so much as blink when he inspired a man to send bombs to try and assassinate Democratic leaders and journalists. He doesn’t care if he gets people killed. That’s the honest to god truth of it.
There’s literally no bottom to Donald Trump. He has no loyalty to any person, country, or idea. He doesn’t care if people suffer or die. The only thing that matters to Donald Trump is Donald Trump. The sooner we all realize this the better.
He doesn’t care if a person dies. He doesn’t care if an opponent dies. He doesn’t care if multitudes of people die. Donald Trump is a vacuous, sucking black hole and we all need to face the fact that no cruelty is off the table as long as he is president.

So. Even if Republicans don't believe his campaign worked with Russia to get Donald Trump elected (they did), aren't they the least bit concerned that Russia wanted Trump to be president so badly? Aren't they even a little dismayed that Trump and Putin align so perfectly? 1/
From the very moment he announced, Russia decided that Donald Trump was their man. Even Republicans who believe there was no collusion should be troubled by that and its implications...unless, you know, all of their grandstanding on national security was actually just branding 2/
The truth is the Republican Party has become a party with no other concern besides power. Whatever it takes to get power, whatever it takes to hold power, that's what they'll do. The divide between what they actually believe and what they'll profess is unbelievably massive 3/

Maybe, and hear me out here, it’d be a decent strategy to embrace your constitutional duty by impeaching a historically unpopular president for historically unprecedented crimes. Maybe it wouldn’t be the worst thing to bring everything to light and make Republicans own this mess.
It’s not enough to say, sure, we have a criminal president and this list of crimes found by a Republican prosecutor, but Republicans are stooges so laws don’t matter. That kind of pragmatism erodes public and world faith and sets nightmarish precedents.
What good is it to tell Republicans that as long as they act in unbelievably bad faith you’ll never hold them accountable for even the worst crimes? You’re inviting them to act in even worse faith.

It’s infuriating to watch all these people disingenuously frame the Mueller Report as anything besides an indictment, and even worse to see that they’re apparently unconcerned with a foreign adversary undermining an election with the support of a campaign.
Even if you believe there was no collusion (there was), how are you not terribly concerned that Russia worked so actively to taint our election? How are you okay with a campaign welcoming and seeking that help?
Republicans can’t be allowed to claim anymore that they’re the party of national security. This nightmare has shown they’re more than willing to sell security for power and wealth.
